What’s up people?

Been a while since I have blogged. I had a minute or two so I thought I would again!!! :) Yesterday our Danny had surgery and he came out just fine! That is our Danny! I am so proud of you sweetie! Then it has been all about taking care of my beautiful kids and cooking. Cleaning. My Linda is such a wonderful girl. She helps me all the time. Kelsey is an amazing cook! She graduates from high school on Dec 20 so I am so excited for her. Then there are my two boys. Tony and Nickel. Who are the lights of my life but if I ever see another whoopie cushion again I’ll throw it out the window. *L* Tommy is the most amazing partner. He’s been Mr Mom while I have been out working. Speaking of work. I need to get there. I have some clients that are in desperate need of attention. I might even do some hair extensions today. We’ll see. :)

Yes, We Can!

Tuesday, Nov 4, 2008. One of the best day’s of my life! Barack Obama…. a black man from Illinois, became President Elect! As an African-American, this day is something I never thought I’d see. This man is perfection! It as if John F Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr had a baby and named him Barack. This man has changed this country. He has changed the world and he has changed my life. I have always felt like an American. I was born and raised. But now, I feel as if I can finally put my suitcase down. As a black gay man, I was a minority but because of President Elect Obama, I am no longer a minority. I am a proud American. My grandmother, my mother are not here to see this. I wish they were. My grandmother and my mother lived in America during a time of segregation. When there were three bathrooms. Women, Men and Colored. They lived during a time when they couldn’t sit on a bus. They lived in a time when blacks had to fight for every inch for everything. So to my children, to my nieces and my nephews. My brothers and my sisters. My Mama Fran. It dosen’t matter if you are black, white, green, red, blue.. You are people. You matter! And you can do anything. Do not be afraid to dream. Do not be afraid to speak up! Do not be afraid to be successful! You will! We’ll fail sometimes but we will pick ourselves up and we will help each other! So not only to my family here in America but to my girls over in Sweden. Annukka and Sanna! This win is for you too! And to my beautiful family…… YES, we can!
